You are now able to access Exercise Physiology services at Living Energy Pilates and Rehabilitation using your NDIS funding.
NDIS stands for National Disability Insurance Scheme – it is a different kind of funding which aims to help more people with a disability get access to the support they need.
NDIS gives people living with disability, and their families and carers, better choice and control over where, when and how you receive your disability services.
NDIS is currently accessible to people:
- With Australian residency;
- Under 65 years of age;
- Who may require support from a person or equipment to do everyday activities
NDIS is also available to children with a disability or identified developmental delay.
In order for participants to access Exercise Physiology services through their NDIS plans, they must have funding in the appropriate support category. Both individual and group exercise physiology services are listed as line items that service providers can offer under Category 12- Improved Health and Wellbeing.
- Individual session Exercise Physiology is listed as support item reference no. 12_027_0126_3_3, for individual advice to a participant regarding exercise required due to the impact of their disability
- Group Exercise Physiology is listed as support item reference no. 12_028_0126_3_3, for advice to a participant regarding exercise required due to the impact of their disability provided in group setting
Use the NDIS checklist to see if you will be eligible.
