I was introduced to the Pilates method through my modern dance education. Coming to dance late in life Pilates proved an invaluable framework for both understanding my own anatomy as well as for conditioning my body and mind to cope with full time technical dance studies. The Pilates method also helped me stay strong and manage my pelvic instability during pregnancy. Pilates also helped me build the endurance and strength necessary for delivering my 98th percentile large son naturally. Struggling with birth related injuries to my pelvic floor Pilates continues to be the resource that I draw upon in daily life and coming back into dance training. I am committed to teaching the Pilates method to any client that wishes to work towards a greater sense of wellbeing, body-mind connection, strength and mobility. I particularly love working with ante/post natal clients as the Pilates method in my experience can provide the most well-targeted and effective support all the way through this both mentally and physically incredibly transformative and demanding period of a woman’s life.
