We understand getting back to exercise after giving birth can be quite tricky with a new baby, especially if you don’t have many baby sitting options available, but a post natal Pilates program is proven to speed up your recovery after the birth of your baby.
During this early stage it is important to regain deep abdominal and pelvic floor strength to help support your lower back, following the demands of pregnancy & birth, along with managing a newborn (feeding, lifting, bending). Strengthening Pelvic Floor will also help avoid any incontinence issues which affect so many women after child birth. Postnatal Pilates sessions will help you get the core muscles strong again and enable you to return to full activities. The sessions will also improve posture, flexibility, tone and fitness. Exercises will be modified for women with cesarean sections, DRAM (abdominal separation) or recovering from pelvic joint pain from pregnancy.
To help you on your way, we offer a Post Natal Care Package that includes the following:
- 1 x 60 Minute Studio Pilates Private Session – Initial Session – Assessment plus Home Program
- 1 x 30 Minute Studio Pilates Private Session – Follow up consultation
- 1 x $10 Gift Voucher for use on any of our services.
The Initial Private session is aimed at assessing your post baby core strength so that we can formulate a Home Program for you. This Home Program will be provided to you during the initial session so that you can continue working on your strength at home. The follow up consultation is normally scheduled a fortnight after to make sure your are progressing and to continue to develop your strength.
